A graduate of Istanbul University’s Department of Radio, Cinema, and Television, Okan Erünsal is the co-founder of Kaltfilm, a production house that executes human rights-oriented projects for major international NGOs with a high-end cinematic perspective. He bridges extensive professional production expertise with a directorial vision that blends social impact with aesthetic depth. Following his debut film Mavi Kelebek (2019), which was featured in the Turkish Films Market at the Cannes Film Festival, he wrote and directed the short films Had (2020) and Hiçbir Türlü (2022) with the support of the Ministry of Culture. Currently, Okan Erünsal is developing his first feature film, Bu Size İyi Gelmiyor, awarded the Ministry of Culture’s Screenplay Development Grant. His work explores the intersections of memory, conscience, and social amnesia through a multidisciplinary cinematic lens.
